ABNORMAL MRI BRAIN SCAN

by wannabmommy, Jul 09, 2008 07:19PM
I just recieved my MRI report that I had done last weekon my brain wit and without contrast. Here is the Impression on the report:
Focal left abormal optic nerve enhancement consistent with left optic neuritis.

Large white matter lesion in the right centrum semiovale, white matter lesion in the left brachium pontis, minimal periventricular white matter change is consistent with demyelinating process multiple scierosis.

Small focal enhancing lesion in the left external capsule without abnormality on precontrast inaging may represent a focal active plaque versus as icidental capillary telangiectasia.

Minimal ethmoid mucosal iflammatory disease,

Are there any other possiblities beside MS that this could be.I also have a vitamin B-12 deficency they just found.I have an appointment with the neurologist tomorrow but I just wanted to see if there was anything else I could have him test me for that would cause all this. What is your opinion? Thanks

HI,Thank you for responding.I started having headaches about 2 months ago.About 1 week after the everyday headaches started my left eye went completely blurry and felt really heavy.(It still is)I have been very tired, lightheaded(sometimes loose my vision for a few seconds),hard time remembering things, clumbsy etc.I also have a thyroid disease so I thought this stuff was from the thyroid disease until I saw an endroconologist and she said it wasn't related. My doctor sent me to the eye doctor and he did blood tests and an MRI and found the things I listed and a vitamin B deficinecy.Any info would be greatly appreciated.Thank you
