ALS Fasiculations

ALS Fasiculations

I have had fasiculations for about 8 months now with no clinical signs of ALS. I have noticed since the beginning that my fingers on both hands are moving (twitching) by the fasiculations. Is that possible or probable with ALS?

I am diabetic and have some patches of denervation.

Hi.

Although fasciculations are associated with ALS, it would be premature to consider this condition as a possible/probable diagnosis at this time in the absence of other significant symptoms of ALS.

Is your diabetes controlled? Diabetic neuropathy can also cause symptoms that can be found in some neurologic disorders.

Consult your physician to assess your symptoms adequately.

I have had fasiculations as well.  With all my other diagnosis. I was diagnosed with ALS. I have no diabetes or anything else wrong.  Here is something I found if you are facing fasiculations.  Try getting tested for electroylyte imbalance.  I cured myself by drinking Vitamin Water.  I would start there.  Do not give up on yourself.  I was nearly in tears when a second opinion was also leaning in the same direction.
