You have a connection for prerssure difference between throat and middle ear due to Eustachian tube. If this is blocked then you take time for pressure & altitude acclimatisation. You have to visit a good Ear specialist and find out the causes and reasons for your problem and treat any infection if you have and practice "Valsalva's manuovre"
Without assessing you case completely it is difficult to say that is is not possible for you to travel.
