ARNOLD CHIARI MALFORMATION

I am 44 years old and four years post op. for Arnold Chiari 1 Malformation.  
I guess I'm pretty lucky because I was diagnosed and had surgery within a
matter of a few months.  Every thing was great until this January.  My neck
has become stiff off and on and I now have what was diagnosed as Hemidystonia
on my right side.  I don't have severe pain just aching (sometimes pretty bad)
and tremmors.  Sometimes things are worse than others.  I have been offered
medication but I am someone who cannot function on meds.  I don't know what to do.  
I have lost strength in my right side.  I went to a physical therapist for my neck
with no results after a month.  Will this progress?  Are there any drug free
alternatives for my symptoms?  Any help you can give would be wonderful.
This is pretty scarry and my neurologist isn't very helpfull.
