Absence of the Septum Pellucidum

Absence of the Septum Pellucidum

My daughter was born at 24 weeks, weighing 1lb 4oz. She is now 17 months and 19 lbs. Early MRIs showed ASP and a thin corpus callosum. Subsequently she has been diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, which although appears to be significant and the MRI would suggest the need for a shunt, she is completely asymptomatic. She is obviously developmentally delayed due to her prematurity but is crawling, pulling up, very responsive, can see and hear and can do some basic ASL signs. There is no indication of any other symptoms which would indicate septo-optic dysplasia. Are there any studies or statistics that might give me some indication of what I might face going forward. Could this just be an anomaly? I do understand some of the implications of the thin corpus callosum but just can't find any materials on the ASP existing on it's own without other issues. She has had genetic testing out the wazoo and there do not appear to be any abnormalities there.
