After the surgery...

This might sound funny, but I had a craniotomy on November 13th 2007 to remove a benign tumor from my left from tempural lobe (that's not the funny part)...but how long will I have to wait to ride roller coasters b/c me and my husband were talking about going to a theme park, but I didn't want to do something that would hurt me.
Also...ever since my surgery, I've had this rapid eye movement from side to side in my left eye...could that just be from the medicine I'm on (I've been taking Tomamax-100mg/day & Zoloft-50mg/day), or should I go see the doctor about it? It's on the same side I was cut on. Thanks-Ashley

Hello.

It appears that the side to side movement f the left eye (nystagmus) is a result of the surgery. When a tumor is removed from the brain tissue, the surgery often has its effects manifesting as some neurological deficits. Some surrounding neurons are affected. Topamax does not seem to be responsible.

A brain surgery usually takes about 8 weeks to recover from. I do not see any problems for you going to the ride, provided you do not have any other issues like high blood pressure.
