All Tests Positive For MS But Doctor Questions Diagnosis

by Erin0313, Oct 14, 2008 09:12AM
My neurologist thinks that we should do rethink the MS diagnosis even though all of the necessary tests have been positive. All blood work, spinal tap and brain lesions are positive. Even had transverse myelitis and several relapsing and remitting episodes. I was on copaxone and I had more brain lesions while on it. My symptoms of loss of balance, memory loss, headaches, fatigue, joint and muscle pain continue so the doctor took me off the copaxone and said it was a failed treatment and now wants to do a cerebral angiogram and send me to more doctors. What could she be thinking. I am worried that I am on nothing to prevent more MS damage in the mean time. I did have auto-immune hemolytic anemia this winter and required a blood transfusion, but all tests including bone marrow biopsy were negative. I think she is thinking of auto-immune diseases because of the anemia and my sjogren's but what about all of the positive MS including the demylinating plaques in my brain? Any thoughts on what could cover all of it? Does anyone else have MS and another disease?
