Am i having autism?

Am i having autism?

I'm 18 now and I was recently diagnosed with mitochondrial cytopathy. My problem ever since childhood is that i hate social interaction - I'm not able to interact with my mates (rarely have any close frnds) or any others like other children do. I am damn poor in starting conversations. And my grammatical skills are not good, often gets spelling and grammar errors at even this age. But i had been tolerating everything and i thought this all were just coz of my lazy nature. Also i tends to repeat use some words when i write essays and all. Also i am a poor narrator, if i were to narrate a story, i would never be able to tell it straight, Often jumble it up. I can hear everything, but cannot often make out what others say. And i hate noisiness like for eg, that of vaccum cleaner, sounds from kitchen etc. When i read something, i can make out the meaning of each word but it's a bit difficult to understand as a whole sentence. And my mathematics is damn poor, i can't perform basic arithmetics and equations. But my intelligence level is normal, despite these problems, i used to be the topper of my class. And even now when i am typing my symptoms, i can't remember the whole thing.  Is this autism? Is there any treatment for it? And oh, i hate doctors, so is it fine if i can cope with the disease myself? Should i consult a doctor? Is it progressive?
