Amantadine - side effects

Hello -
I was wondering if anyone has taken Amantadine? My doctor is considering it for a long-standing neuromuscular disorder I've had without a specific diagnosis. My current symptom is muscle fatigue/weakness. I took Sinemet late last year for a month and all it did was make me very nauseous. I see nausea is a side effect of Amantadine also and am wondering if it is as bad as Sinemet.
I'd appreciate any input, particularly on side effects.
