Anesthetic Reaction

Anesthetic Reaction

Hi, I'm a 20 year old male and I've been having some weird side affects from a local anesthetic i used a couple months ago.  Its seems like all my nerve endings in my body have just been decreased.  I first noticed this in my joints and in my skin.  I also noticed this occurring around my muscles and around my lymph nodes.  I have almost no sensation in my lymph nodes in my growing area.  It's hard to explain but its like my nerve endings are still there, but there's just something over them or around, making it harder to feel sensations.  I had blood work done that didn't show anything.  I was also put on methylprednisolone because my doctor thought it might be inflammation.  That didn't seem to help any.  I'm scheduled to have an EMG and meet with a neurologist in a month.  I'm also scheduled to get my cholesterol checked.  I don't think i still have the anesthetic in my system or that it could cause permanent nerve damage.  I just think I'm having some kind of weird allergic reaction.  Do you know of anything that could be going on in the body to cause this numbness/decrease in sensation or of any treatment to "revive" the nerve endings?
