Aneurysm

I had had a surgery...bypass/grafting due to aneurysm(peripheral)....how long do i have to take warfarin??

Hello.

The warfarin therapy alone may not be very beneficial. An added heparin therapy is needed. Warfarin interferes with the healing of the plaque in the vessels. Usually, warfarin can be taken for 3 to 6 months. But it depends on the clinical judgment of the surgeons.
