Anterior interosseous syndrome--post surgery 6 mos.--no relief

I have very little improvement in symptoms with continued numbness and pain 6 months after surgery for AIS.  Is there any other treatment for this condition or is there another issue that may be still unaddressed?  I saw a neurologist for the initial diagnosis and he suggested surgery, but implied that it may not work in that the nerve may be damaged beyond repair.  I had no trauma to bring this condition on--it was spontaneous, and it occurred about one year ago.  I saw the neurologist in September when he did an EMG.  The surgeon (a plastic surgeon/hand surgeon) believed he "fixed" the condition, but I still can't use my forefinger/thumb, have continued numbness and hypersensitivity to the inner forearm with pain (Lidoderm patches bring some relief), and I also cannot pronate
(correct term??) my arm inward.  EG., keyboarding as I'm doing now is very uncomfortable and I have to lift my elbow outwards to get my hand situated over the keyboard.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  I go to the surgeon for the 6-mo. followup next week.
