Dear Mr. Kamal:
The report is not as clear as it should be but it is obvious that your
nephew has a brain tumor in the back and lower part of the brain.
Because of its location, and size this tumor is causing significant
pressure on his brain. The report gives two locations for this tumor, and
because of this it is unclear as to where this is exactly located. Because
of this I am unable to tell you whether this tumor is resectable from
a surgical standpoint. He does need to have an MRI scan of his brain
which will determine the extent of the tumor and whether is can be taken out.
Once the MRI scan is done he needs to see a neurosurgeon who specializes in
treating pediatric neurosurgical disorders. If you need further information,
please write back to us.
Good Luck!
