Anyone have Arachnoiditis?

by lisamaggio, Nov 09, 2009 11:10PM
I was dx today with ARC. I am pretty bummed out by it. At first my neuro thought it was MS. But after a few MRI's and many consultations with other neuro's and expert neuro/radiologists and other tests, she dx me with this.  I forgot to ask her a question and I don't see her until next week so I thought I would ask here. Do some of the symptoms come and go, sort of like MS, into remission? A few things like the pain, numbness, trouble with my memory are always there, but symptoms like the incontience, heat intolerence and places of the tingeling seem to come and go. I will have them for months at a time and then all of a sudden they are gone for about a month, only to return again.

Thanks for any insight into this. I have never heard of ARC until today. It looks like a very bleak future.
