Arachnoid Cyst

Hello Doctor,

My kid is only 4 year 7 Month only and we went for MRI and cyst is being diagnosed as per report its 53 X 40 MM , Large extra axial C.S.F signal intensity lesion in the left middle cranial fossa pushing the left temporal lobe posterorly .

Please suggest what should we do

Hi there!

Though the cyst is not particularly large, with it causing mass effect of the brain; it may need to be removed/ decompressed surgically. I would suggest consulting his treating neurologist/ neurosurgeon for suggestion of an appropriate management plan.
