Arachnoid cyst of brain

Pt. Name: Md. Abdul Alim
Age: 25 yrs
sex: Male

C/F: 1. Right sided headache for 6 months with vertigo and vomiting.
2. Loss of hair of whole body.
3. Loss of skin sensation.
4. Loss of skin brightness.
5. Body temperature high but not fever.
6. Pain of whole body
7. Weakness of muscle
8. Dropping of the muscle.
9. Occipital lobe of brain is increased
10.  H/O head injury and Back pain about 11 years back.
                             CT scan Report:
1. A multiloculated and lobulated cyst containing CSF density fluid of about 5.3x5.4x5.o cm. is seen in the posterior cranial fossa in the midline posterior to 4th ventricle.

2. The lesion causes smooth indentation on the occipital bone, cerebellar hypoplasia and appears communicate with foramen of Magendi.
3. No obvious haematoma,haemorrhage or infract is detected in the cerebrum,brain stem or cerebellum.
4. No midline shift is present.
5. Cerebello pontine angles are unremarkable.
6. Ventricles are unremarkable.
7. No extracraneal soft tissue swelling is noted

Comment: Suggestive of huge cisterna megna or less likel arachnoid cyst with cerebellar hypoplasia and bone indentation.
