Are my symptoms due to worsening hydrocephalus?

I am a 19yo F with communicating hydrocephalus and on 200mg zonegran for myoclonic seizures. For the past 5-6 months I have been feeling fatigued, irritable, and lightheaded. I have occasional vertigo, nausea, and a feeling of being in a dream. Whenever I talk its as though I am in slow motion, and I always feel lethargic. Could these sypmtoms be purely psychological, or could the hydrocephalus be getting worse?

I am aware of the fact that the zonegran could be making me feel this way, so my neurologist lowered the dose (about 1 1/2 month ago) from 300-200mg yet my sypmtoms have not improved. I was referred to a neurosugeon, but he said there was not enough pressure to insert a shunt. This concerns me greatly! Does this mean the Dr will just wait until I get worse to do anything for me? Aren't there meds that can relieve pressure?
