Hi Trisha,
How is your husband now?
Aricept is been shown in studies to help cognition and function, which includes effects on memory and performing everyday tasks .Some people may have nausea, Vomit, Experience diarrhea,
Experience bruising, Not sleep well, Have muscle cramps, but all are mild grade.
Currently, there is no complication of Aricept been referred to eye?

Hi.

How would you describe the "eye deterioration"? Is it blurring of vision? cataracts? What did his neurologist and ophthalmologist assess from their examinations?

Donepezil (Aricept) has been reported to have side-effects of blurred vision, cataract formation, as well as eye irritation.  However, this does not automatically mean your husband is having an adverse reaction to the drug. Have your husband consult his doctors to assess whether his eye deterioration is secondary to donepezil intake.
