Your story does not suggest ALS. Fasciculations can occur due to overuse of your muscles, electrolyte abnormalities, and a condition called benign fasciculation syndrome. If these fasciculations are secondary to overuse, then mild re-introduction of activity would be recommended. As a general rule slow or non-weight bearing excercise to start with for a few weeks, and then advance slowly. Regardng the paresthesias, some conditions such as inflammatory conditions or connective tissue disorders can sometimes present with these symptoms. You can discuss this with your regular doctor. Also, anxiety and stress can cause many different symptoms. If you are still concerned about these symptoms you should discuss them with your neurologist and if needed obtain a second opinion. Good luck.
