Autism or Tubular Sclerosis?

My son is 17 years old. At 2.5 years he was diagnosed with Autism, Non-communicating Hydro-Cephaly (not shunted), and seizure disorder.   He is non-verbal however reads and writes at a fifth grade level.  He types 32 wpm without error on his augmentative communicating device (text based).   Over the past two years he has had an increase in brown patches forming all over his body and face.   He seems to be loosing cognative abilities also.   What is the best way to determine if my son has Tubular Sclerosis.  Thanking you in advance.

My son is 2years old and has been diagnosed with autism.  I took him to a pediatric neurologist and she has ordered a MRI of the brain to rule out Tubular Sclerosis.  Why would she think this.  What are the symptoms.
thank you
