Axonal neuropathy

Please help me with a opinion or advice.
I am from Belgrade,Serbia so excuse my bad english.
My brother is 27years old now and has axonal neurophaty since 1990.(when he was 16.)
His right feet become weak, no feeling in it.
Now his right leg is weak, his lower leg is slender, with bad blood circulation.
He can walk and drive but relying on his left leg.

There are no treatment attributed here.
Please, tell me:
is there any chance to stop progressing this?
what can we do about it?
is there possibility for him to come in USA for some review that can maybe tell us more about causes of this disease..

Hi,You have to be more specific when when your brother was diagnosed( 1998,1999,or 2000)It is very important.

Hi. The Axonal neuropathy was diagnosed 2000. (my mistake about a year.).
My brother was then 16 years old (he was born in 1984.)
