Axonic brain injury

Due to an MVA last year caused by another party, I am now left disabled with back injuries and diffuse axonic brain injury.
I am 57 years old. Is there any recommendation for how often a brain scan should be done as a follow-up to do comparison films and to check for differences as to progression of the diffusion or improvement of the injury?
I will be seeing a new neurologist in a month and was wondering about this now.
Also, is Aricept 10 mg/day still the best and most effective medication for this?
Does anything counteract the effects of this medication?
Thank you.
