B 12 shots

I have recently had several B 12 shots.  I have found them to be very painful and the muscles in the arm in which the shot was administered, as well and the muscles in my neck, hurt for several days after.  Is this normal?  Has anyone else experienced this?

Hi,
Some side effects are associated with Vitamin B12 injections. After a B12 injection is administered, the patient may suffer from muscle cramps, muscle weakness and muscular pain. It does occur for majority of the people who are administered the shots. Please do not worry. Pain is normal and may subside in a few days. However, you must consult your doctor if you feel any other side effects like difficulty in breathing, palpitations, nausea or other symptoms. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
