BLINDNESS with Bell's Palsy, please help!!

I have had Bell's Palsy and took prednisone for 5 days and a week later started acyclovir but I've been having blindness, extremely blurry, gray vision in my affected eye and can't widen that eye pupil or shut it.  I think the eye muscle may be paralyzed too and I can't speak or remember well.
I'm contnuing prednisone at 20-40mg/day but a video online of a neurologist researcher said that it destroys neurons in the hippocampus and causes train of thought problems
do I need to start electrical stimulation, acupuncture, chiropracty to help?

you should definitely try acupuncture and maybe meds...  even with everything my face didn't heal right, it's slowly a little better.
the scary thing is the blurry vision in my one eye (muscle paralysis it seems)

Bell's palsy is more common in diabetics. The etiology is unclear.  Viral infections are one trigger, along with herpes or shingles. Some people have lasting effects, but in most it disappears. All of the problems stem from impingement upon various cranial nerves. The prednsone stops or reduces swelling and thus impingement.

the neurologist did electrical stimulation of my neck

in bell's is it the nerve is actually damaged or cut and needs to regrow?  I don't know how I even got it?  did you get it from stress?  I had some diabetes that I was taking metformin for

studies show that prednisone+acyclovir help.  I took both but my face didn't heal, I still have paralysis.  I also had blindness and trouble focusing the left eye.
what is physico and acu?  I took acupuncture but should start it again, I don't know if it did anything???

The condition usually resolves within two months. Studies on Pubmed show Acyclovir doesn't make much difference. I wouldn't be too concerned about the prednisone. It is a matter if risk-benefit, and the short-term use will have no significant effect on visual degradation. Gentle massage of the face, and wearing an eyepatch for no more than a half-day may help. The condition is linked to viral infections and diabetes, and may come back.

Day 10, of BP, today things took a curve. I went to the doc as my left eye's vision is occasionally blurry the past couple of days.  I have always had eagle eye vision but today it tested 20/30 (and i guessed at half). I will be seeing an ophthalmologist at LGH soon. Reading about vision complications and partial or complete blindness overwhelmed me.

I was on prednisone and antiviral for a week and now tapering off pred.
