Sorry that your having back pain. This is one of the most
commonCommon cold complaints seen in the neurological physician's office. There are many, many etiologies of back pain, from cancer to strained muscles. Achy pain that does not radiate is usually not neuronal in
natureNature-throid
Natures tears (i.e. pinched
nerveNerve biopsy
Nerve conduction velocity). Dull, achy pain can be muscular or boney. Yes, colitis can cause referred pain to the back. Since this has only happened once, I would not worry too much about it. However, if it becomes recurrent, I would visit your family physician and begin to figure out what might be causing it.
