Im not sure your going to get this as i am writting to you in July 2010 and all your notes are from May 2009, but reall hope you do.
Im not sure if am alowed to even ask for this info , but goes.
i have come on this site hoping to find info on if anyone has had any of the problems ive had with the epidural and i have read yours and oh my goodness, we could have been twins with our probs. the way the doctors talk to me it make me feel im the only one in the world with these probs as they keep saying ive never seen this before.
Any way i would love to chat to you in more detail if its possible.
Maybe via email or face book or ph. any way if would be really nice to chat to someone that understands the whole situation. and the way we feel day in day out. ive been going through this for 3 1/2years now.

Any way let me know and i will kepp an eye out for your respose.

Hi,

I'm sorry if things have been rough with u... I can only imagine what you're going through.. I am a little bit wary about the hospital losing your record though... sounds fishy to me.. those are legal documents and the medical records department usually either file it the traditional way or they have it in their computer system.. don't know where you're from but if u can tell me which state you're from I can help you look for specialists around that area so maybe I can help u that way.. flying and long drive isn't a good idea with ur condition.. we don't want to agitate that even more.. hope that helps

recovery is not taking place yet. im worse than last year. But thankyou for both of your advice.. But at the moment this is a getting from bad to worse. as the hospital have now lost my files., well parts of it like labour.. I just feel as if my body is wasting. since ive had my baby ive never ran or jogged not even a brisk walk. as its just not possible.. i am under 9stone now and im 5foot 5...All im doing at the moment is coping with it.. i no not to do certain movents as it starts the sweelin so i take time to try and play with my daughter, you maywell both no that babys dont stay babys for long and i have lost so much time already she is 1 next week. i cant fly, because of pressure build up either.

"A good Physician is who can own your condition and treats you". It is good that recovery is taking place but with some physical work you are having that back pain.
You can try going to Mayo Clinic and remember "every human being is different and the adverse effects of drugs/surgery/anaesthesia may not be copy book". To assess your damage and own the case and treat it is what you should look for. Your recovery will take place, it will be slow, try finding a good neurologist/neurosurgeon.  Nerve damages take time. Take care!

Hi,

I'm not quite sure if the note u sent me was meant for me but if it, I'm flattered. :) The good doctor Vinod was right and he sounds nice. :) I'm not a doctor or anything but from ur story u mentioned that u had 3 epidurals during that episode. I'm just thinking since they gave u that many epidurals on the same site what if they damaged a nerved during the epidural? they might have hit a nerver that's causing u all the troubles. I had an epidural when I delivered and some of its side effects were headaches, sore on the site, and backpain but nothing close to debilitating pain. The only I can say is to look for another Neurologist who's a lot more competent and would care about ur situation. I know it's hard to look for a good one but if u can try to look for a Neuro from Mayo Clinic. They are located in Arizona and in Minnesota. They are very good and it's one of the best research hospitals... Hope this helps. I'm sorry if I wasn't much of a help but I thought I'd give it shot... u can leave me a note or a message if you'd like... hope u get better soon.

since the last time i spoke to u. i was told that i have fluid in the tissure around the my spine area were the epdural was given. the most its swollen is 17cm in length and 4and a half a cross. i was told there was a pressure build up. so the cant do blood patch etc. as they dnt no wat would happen... again all the drs ive seen have ALL said its somthing they have NEVER seen. i saw 4 dermatologists 2professors 1 rhromotolgist2 nero drs. all the same reply. im now being sent to another hospital. My head neck and shoulders all now at times seem to spasm. and the swelling tends to happen with movement, walking , going up stairs, bending etc... I dont no what else to do now. when my back does pain really bad movemont is HARD.

The abstract you have written points towards epidural anaesthesia complications.
I can understand from your plight and love for your child what you have lost/losing witnessing and enjoying the intricate things with your baby.
It is very difficult and i admire at your courage and endurance.
Keep fighting and i hope the neurologist will assist you and your body will bounce back steadily.
Do not do any job which exerts you at that level and also do not life heavy things and take your medications properly.
