Bad headaches

I have been having really bad headaches for the last 2 weeks. It mostly hurts on the right side of my head, and i feel lots of pressure in my right eye. I have been taking motrin, which helps but the headache always comes back. I have also took some sinus medicine, and tylenol but nothing seems to help. I'm very worried that this could be something serious. Do you think i need to go to the doctor or the emergency room about these headaches. Because for the last couple of days my eyes have been bloodshot red and watery. What do I need to do? What do you think this is?

Hi,
There is a good chance that your suffering from migraine...headache on one side with blood shot eyes. Since OTC painkillers are not working please see a physician as soon as you can. Meanwhile lying a dark quiet room and applying cold compress to the neck helps. Avoid bright lights and noisy places.

Hi.

How would you describe your headaches? Are they throbbing/pulsating or stabbing/sharp? Do you experience an aura before the headache? How long do the headaches last?

Based on your clinical presentation, it might be possible that you are suffering from migraines, although a sinus headache cannot be ruled out at the moment.

It would be best to consult a physician as soon as possible especially since the headaches seem to be persistent.

Good luck.
