Bicep Pain when eating

I get this pain in my left bicep when eating. The pain is in the lower portion of the bicep, about an inch or so before the crease. It doesn't bother me at any other time. Anyone know what can cause this?

Does the biceps pain occur when you chew your food or when you use your left arm during eating?

It is unusual for the biceps muscle to present with pain during eating. However, theoretically it could be due to some referred pain during mastication or a nerve impingement at the cervical spine level that is aggravated or triggered in some way by the process of eating. Tooth-related pain is another cause to consider although, again, it is unusual for it to present with such symptom.

You could try observing your symptoms for the moment. Also, try to check whether some head, arm or shoulder movements replicate the symptom. If the condition persists or worsens, you should probably consult a physician for a more proper evaluation.

Thanks. The bicep pain is definetly not the result of me moving my arm, but it just comes as I am eating. Also, head, neck, arm, and shoulder movements will not reproduce the pain. For example, just a moment ago, I was eating a snack (with right hand) and it happened again. It has done it while eating sitting down and eating standing up, typically at the beginning of meal/snack. Weird.

It seems that my left arm tenses up when eating (and other activities), which is causing tha pain. I do not know what is causing my arm to tense, but it keeps doing it.
