Hello Dear,

Brain abscess usually occurs secondary to a focus of infection outside of the CNS
Dental abscess, sinusitis, and middle ear infection are the most common causes of this disease. The infection may also be introduced through a skull fracture following a head trauma or surgical procedures. Brain abscess is usually associated with congenital heart disease in young children. The most frequent presenting symptoms are headache, drowsiness, confusion, seizures, hemiparesis or speech difficulties together with fever with a rapidly progressive course. The symptoms and findings depend largely on the specific location of the abscess in the brain.Endocarditis, frontal sinus defect, gram negative bacilli Brain Abscess Following Klebsiella pneumoniae Septicemia are some of the causes.
