Blood exposure while wrestling (ie grappling)

Hi,
my friend recently took me out to a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class to  do some training. During our sparring sessions I got a partner who had a small amount of blood coming from his forehead. I indicated that he was bleeding and he went and washed it off. However I don't know if he just used water or used soap & water to clean the wound. Even though I was hesistant to grapple with him, I still did it anyway. Now I'm worried about HIV and Hep. C infections from possible blood on his uniform (ie gi), that I was unaware from, getting into my eyes and mouth while I was grappling with him.
Should I be worried?
