Body Jerks

by Craig52w, Oct 24, 2008 01:14PM
I have bad disc's at c6 and c7. I am getting surgery on these disc's soon. I also have 4 disc's in my lower back, not yet bad enough for surgery.

A few years ago I had injections in my lower back that only helped for about 6 weeks. At that Time I came back to get a shot in my neck. Immediately after the injection I was temporarily paralyzed for about 10 seconds. The Doctor did the injection with out x-ray. I was not aware of this procedure until I went to another pain doctor who informed me.

Shortly after the cervical injections I started having body jerks something I have never experienced except when falling asleep and dreaming I was falling or something like that. Now I have them on a regular basis anytime I am going to sleep or in a state of relaxation. Any part of my body will jerk, sometime a leg, another time an arm, or shoulder, whole upper body.

I think it is something that happened during the cervical injection. I am not out to get any one, if I was going to do that I would have done it by now, I just want the truth. Do you see any possible connection between the 2. The jerks do not hurt or cause any problems. I have a lot of pain in both legs from my lower back and numbness in my left thigh on the outside part of it, this numbness is 100% of the time and worsens when I set with my body weight on my left bottom cheek, this numbness just stays in my thigh. Also both hips hurt. When I lay down on either side I have pain from the pressure on my hips. I take neurotin for this and it helps a lot. What is this all about.

Thank Sir.
