Dear Jeannie,
In order to help you with this very distressing problem some more
information is necessary regarding this pain :For instance its location,
which side is it, which is worse the arm or leg, is the entire limb
involved, if so which part is worse ?
Does anything relieve or worsen the pain, does it radfiate to another location.
Timing:How long do you have to be in bed before it starts, does it
happen every night, how long does it last ?
What is the quality of the pain burnind/ dull/ throbbing/ sharp.
Have you had and significant medical problems in the past ?
What surgeries have been done, what are the results of scans etc
This information conprises only PART of a pain histroy , this needs to be
supplemented by an detailed neurological examination.
If your medical
resourcesResource optisource are scarce you probably need to go as directly as
possible to the specific specialists who will help you, I would suggest
a neurologist for a diagnostic work-up followed by a chronic pain management
specialist for ongoing treatment.
It is seldom possible to give a diagnosis through this forum, we are
best at supplying factual information to specific questions however
with some more details we may be able to point you in the direction
where you can get help.
