Brachial Neuritis

I was diagnosed with Brachial Neuritis 2 1/2 yrs ago after my daughter was born.  This was acutally my second episode of it as I had had an interiorossius nerve release 2 yrs prior to that.  After being treaed with steroids, neurontin, ultram and much physical therapy I am doing much better.  Strength is back and only mild discomfort that 100mg of Ultram a day helps.  Also in the last episode it paralyzed my left vocal cord and after 6 scary months  my full voice did recover.  Now I am considering trying for another baby.  My question is this: is there any information out there about high rate of reoccurance of an episode while pregnant or just after delivery?  None of  my symptoms started until the day after my delivery.  I had a normal, easy pregnancy but during delivery I had severe preclampsia.  Any help you could offer would be very much appreciated.  Neither my OB or Neurologist has advised against getting pregnant again, but I am just wondering what the chances of reoccurance are.  Thank you

There are no studies quoting the risk of recurrence, however recurrence with repeat pregnancies have been described. However, in the majority of patients with brachial neuritis, a good to complete recovery is expected. I hope this information helps, sorry for the delay. Good luck.
