Brain Atropy

Problem Interpretated First Time:  2006.

Complete Description Of Problem Since Initiation Till Today: Detected defects in walking, posture, handwriting. Motor functions not normal.  Unnecessary responses and unwanted laughter during conversations. Link less speech.  Total indifferent behavior with friends in college. Confusion about subjects in record maintenance.  Memory loss about some things in recent life but remembers childhood references and names of neighbors/childhood friends. Present status: Drastic loss of body balance. Balance of the body leaning towards left side during walking or sitting.  Does not sleep in nights.  Totally dependent on her mother for toilet and changing of clothes etc.  Slur in speech. Slow eye movement. Afraid of walking and/or climbing up/down steps.

Mother’s Pregnancy/ Delivery Details:
1. Medications during Pregnancy: Normal tonics etc
2. Problems in Pregnancy: Nil
3. Delivery Problems: Pains stopped during delivery. Child suffocated inside.  Skin tone was ink blue after birth. Child was kept on oxygen for 13-14 hours, after which she regained normal skin tone.  
4. Child Weight and other Descriptions of Normalcy given by Doctors After Birth: 8 lbs.
5. Nurturing Difficulties during Infancy (If Any): nil.
6. Any Physical/ Mental Trauma with Mother during Pregnancy and/or Lactation- Specify: Nil.
7. Medications during Lactating Period/ After Delivery: nil.
8. Normal Delivery / Complications during Delivery:  Normal with forceps.
9. Observation of Mother during First Year of Child in Regard to Physical, Mental, Motor, Social:  Normal.
10. Any other Relevant Information you wanted to Share for Supporting the Case History: (Some doctors have felt that some of her brain’s cells have damaged at the time of suffocation during birth but something triggered it now.  Because, change in her walking, handwriting etc was noticed after she was discharged from hospital after the food poisoning. It is also felt that it was not food poisoning but some mischievous friends gave her some kind of drug which affected her neurologically and triggered the brain damage).

(1) Early Childhood – 2 to 6 years Development Pattern and Specification if any:  Normal.
(2) Late Childhood – 6 to 8 years Specifications Supporting Case History: Normal.
(3) Pre-Pubertal; Pubertal and Post-Pubertal – Development of Physical, Mental, Motor and Social: Normal physical development. Introvert by nature. Motor functions normal.  Socially withdrawn and quiet, shy nature.
(4) Specifications in Learning at School, Sports, other Activities like Reading, Writing, Music, Cultural, Regular Work etc: Normal in studies. Interested in Music, dance.  Clean and neat domestic work.
(5) Adolescent – Growth and Development at Various Age Related with Height, Weight, Motor Development, Social and Emotional Development etc.: Height below normal, taken homeopathic medicine for height increase. Weight normal. Not very social nature, emotionally weak, and sensitive to scolding and punishments.
(6) Any Shock/ Trauma Faced During this age at School/ College/ Residence/ Any other Place:  No known shock/trauma experienced.
(7) Competitive Nature:  No.
(8) Intelligence and Emotional Quotient:  Normal before 2006. Fast deteriorating thereafter.  Now IQ 67%.

All Medical Reports from Time to Time:
All medical reports like CBP, ECG, and Pathology are normal.
MRI Brain indicates ‘Severe Cerebral Atrophy’.  I am sure you know this, but still in layman’s terms it means her brain is shrinking.  Particular cells of her brain are dead and this condition may worsen further.
