Brain Cyst/Hashimoto's Disease

About 5 Years ago I saw a neurologist for migraines/weakness/numbness and pain. I had MRI's and CT Scans done...and I remember him stating i had an insignificant brain cyst...and that was that. Lost my insurance and whatnot. I am a 23 Year Old female, diagnosed with Fibromyalgia about 2 years ago, and Hashimoto's last year. I still have 3 migraines a week and the stuff my PCP prescribes isnt helping and she wants me to see a new neuro...(no doctor I've seen liked the one i saw in 2005.) Should I bring up this cyst at my appointment with the new Neurologist. I have other neuro symptoms like depression/anxiety, loss of concentration, difficulty finding words when talking, short term memory, poor coordination, etc..I would love some advice

Yes i think you should ask about it and i would want a new mri done to see if there has been any changes. Hope this helps!

Cysts of brain can be congenital like arachnoid cyst, pineal cyst, epidermoid and dermoid cyst. Few cysts like colloid cyst may appear after trauma or CSF block. Some cysts like neurocysticercosis may occur after parasitic infection. Small cysts may remain asymptomatic but large ones may have symptoms like migainous headache, seizures or paralysis. Please arrange an appointment with a neurologist who will evaluate the further possibilities here and can provide you an appropriate treatment. Hope this helps.
