Brain Swelling - Hypoxic Brain Injury

Brain Swelling - Hypoxic Brain Injury

Hi

A patient has suffered from hypoxia and has been deprived of oxygen t the brain after a cardiac arrest. The duration without oxygen was approx 6 mins. The brain has incurred swelling all around and continues to swell. Seizures and Fits occur as a result of the brain damage, the amount of brain damage caused is unknown since the swelling is preventing this. Is there any possible chance of recovery or any treatment to restore the brain to a normal state?

thanks

please let me know how the patient is doing. I know it has been more than 2 years... I just read the comment and hopeful that the patient is well.

thanks
