Brain tumor diagnoses

Is it possible to have a brain tumor and have a negative CT scan?
I've been having a bunch of really awful and strange symptoms. I had a CT scan and it came back normal so now the neurologist is doing an MRI. If I do have a brain tumor what are the chances of the CT scan coming back normal? Or is this just un heard of?
And is it possible to have a brain tumor without headaches?
I would really appreciate an answer as soon as possible thanks.
One other thing how come I can't post my questions in the doctor part?

It may show better on MRI with contrast. My husband's tumor showed somewhat on CT but always had MRI with contrast after that. I hope your MRI will also be negative.  I don't know much about this website but I think they may only take a certain number of questions each day and have read here that it is tough to get in. Could you give us some more information regarding your symptoms? Why do you feel that you might have a brain tumor?

Brain tumors would present with different symptoms depending on the size, location as well as type of tumor. Some tumors may present with headache symptoms while others could present with just visual disturbances. It is entirely possible that a tumor could be absent on CT scan but visible on MRI as they have different sensitivities for different disorders.

However, it would be very premature to consider a diagnosis of a brain tumor at this point, especially with negative findings on CT scan. You should wait for results of the MRI to correlate with your symptoms.

Hello, im 12 years old and I don't know whats wrong with me im seeing things hearing things and the weirdest thing is its like my brain is talking to me. I say something to the teacher and it's like my brain is talking to me. I don't know whats wrong? Im never going to tell my parents, One reason I dislike doctors and hospitals. Second reason my mom will get worried. Third reason my dad will think im faking, So I just have to live with it I guess?
