How likley is it to have a brain tumor present for over 3 years (I’m 25 y.o.) with pretty much the same symptoms during this time. Present symptoms include dizziness,
tremorEssential tremor
Familial tremor
Hand tremor
Tremor, nausea to name some.
To the case can also be added that I haven’t got any headaches and that a negative MRI was done in december ’95.
Now all of a sudden my doctor starts talking about a brain tumor. I don’t have very much faith in his ideas since he has been pretty far off with some other of his patients.
Thanks

From the description you give a brainntumor would not by any means be
top of my list of possible diagnoses, on the other
handHand or foot spasms
Hand tremor brain tumors come
in a wide range in terms of aggressiveness and presentation.
A meningioma for instance can give no symptoms or very mild symptoms for
several years before it actually declares itself. Meningiomas are frequently
found at autopsy in people who die from entirely diseases, never having
caused any symptoms.
A negative MRI over two years ago would not necessarily exclude the possibility
that a small

Benign positional vertigo tumor has developed since.
Overall given your age and presentation the diagnosis is still unlikely so
I think the best way to settle this question would be to have an MRI of
Brain WITH Gadolinium enhancement, this will clarify this issue and
give you some peace of mind.
