Does anyone with the bubbling sounds inside their head realize how serious it is? Get a MRA ordered asap & a Carotid Doppler Ultrasound from a Cardiologist! If your PCP won't refer, fire that dr. & get a new one! Some don't like to "Share the Pie" so to speak! Don't mess around with anything that's going on in your body that's not normal! Get it checked & make sure your insurance isn't getting "milked" and if they take too long doing tests, getting appointments & not finding a diagnosis, find another physician!
Understand your predicament. But besides the cost factor for imaging studies, there is always the risk for radiation. So, unless specifically indicated, they should be avoided. Also, any lab work or imaging studies needs a proper clinical interpretation. And doctors always treat symptoms and diseases and not lab values or reports. Regards.
