Bulging disc c5-6

I had an injury at work while scanning a patient, I felt a pop with an electrical sensation going up my right hand and into my neck and face, with severe pain. My right side of my face went numb for a little while. I had an EMG which showed mild carpal tunnel on my right hand. My MRI showed minimal diffuse disc bulge at the C5-6 level. I have been going to a Chiropractor for adjustments and cervical traction. The cervicla traction relieves my pain while he is pulling. I have been going for four weeks. Do you believe a Chiropractor will help me with time, or do you recommend Laser endoscopic spine surgery. The chiropractor said the bulge is pushing on a nerve causing me the pain, he did do a nerve scan in his office that showed a pinched nerve at C5-6. I just want to get out of pain. Please Help. I would see a specialist, specifically a Neurologist before letting your chiro set up surgery.  Chiropractic excersies help many people but not all patients benefit from this alternative medicine.  Many times these adjustments provide temporary relief but they do not fix the problem.  But definitely, before jumping under the knife, see a traditional doctor so the two of you, together, can decide what treatment option is best for you.
