Burning Back Pain

Been to Neurosurgeon, orthopedic dr and pain management with no help.  Three epidurals and a facet injection has not helped the deep burning pain in my middle and lower back.  Am currently on heavy duty pain meds.  It hurts most of my waking hours and the low back pain is worse when I set down.  I'm now being sent to an endocrinologoist to search some more.  The pain feels like my back is on fire.  I have a bulging disc in the thoracic region and one in the lumbar region.  Drs. don't think that is causing the pain.  Anyone out there who has experienced this?

Thanks for the input.  Been gone for a while.  What type of dr. did your discograph, and what did they do for them.  The pain mgmt. dr. seems to be the only one who thinks the pain is coming from a disc.  The endo dr. thinks osteoporosis is cause of pain and am undergoing many tests.  I still believe it's caused from disc, too many similar things.  Did you finally get help?

HI, Ive had right sided back pain, burning and tight, like its in a vice, for two years. also one point in my spine , like knife on fire stuck in one part of thoracic spine. had every test, found nothing. just had discograph, have four messed up (either torn or ruptured) discs in my thoracic spine. Look into this test, they inject dye into each disc, then you will feel if it reinacts you symptoms. youll really feel it if its were your pain is from, trust me.   anyway just a thought for you to mention to your dr. for future test.   goodluck
