Burning Pain & Numbness

Oh my god, I am not the only one to suffer from this awful pain and numbness. It ranges from numb and tingly to searing hot pain. I will go to my GP to have this looked into more thoroughly. I was told it was probably a nipped nerve but have been suffering for nearly 3 years. I am definately going to chase this up, I am glad I read this forum.

Hi there. You need to tell where you are having these tingling, pain and numbness sensations. if these are in the lower limbs, lumbar spine needs to Be investigated clinically and with an MRI spine to check the intervertebral spinal disc which could be impinging on an exiting nerve root or a bony spur irritating the nerves and hence the symptoms. The cervical spine needs to be checked if these symptoms are present in the shoulder, arms, hands and fingers. an MRI spine shall reveal most of the disc related pathologies which could be causing the deficit. If these were ruled out, it would be wise to be investigated for multiple sclerosis, which is a chronic demyelinating disorder causing the tingling and numbness. Hope this helps. Take care.

Sorry, this is in my right thigh, from about top to the side of my knee.
As I stated it ranges from a numbness to tingling and then searing hot pain which makes it difficult when walking, I have to sit or bend to release the pain. I do take painkillers Diclofenic and Co COdamol but it really only takes the edge off the pain.
