Burning Sensation in Foot due to Nerve Damage

Burning Sensation in Foot due to Nerve Damage

My son had a snowboarding accident and fell on his hip that caused a hematoma which placed pressure on his nerve that caused nerve damage.  This is affecting his left foot and he has extreme burning sensation pain in his foot.  To date any pain management has been unsuccessful.  Does anyone have any proven remedies for relief and any suggestions for increasing the chance of nerve repair?

They say Lyrica is soppose to be good. Way back, when my neuropathy was just starting, I was put on Zonegran. It worked wonders for me (until I got pregnant with my next child and had to be taken off). I was able to walk barefoot, without socks, something I couldn't do before. The big thing with that med though is it will knock you out. You have to take it at night.
Hope that helps alittle
