I am 42 FM with intermittent pain in my head. It is usually on the upper/back right side and is intermittent and sharp, burning like pain that only lasts a second or two. It comes and goes any time of day. If it lasted any longer I would definitely say migraine but it doesn't. It can go on like this for a few days. I can't classify it according to any of the typical headaches. If I had to classify it I would say it was migraine like because it is one sided, throbbing pain. The intervals of no pain can span many minutes. Ibuprofen does help unlike with a migraine. It is not constant throughout the month. I have these every so often and some are worse than others. Any ideas what this is?
