Burning Skin Sensation

I have had my second attack of burning skin sensation at night.  Just wakes me up out of a deep sleep.   My first feeling is panic, because I feel like I have a terrible sunburn all over my body...even the private partsm, all at the same time!  The first time, I was alone at night and went to the emergency room.  they said it might be an allergy.  The ambulance gave me intravenous benedryl.  Last night during the episode, I took Benedryl (2) and in 3 hours the sensation started to subside.  It starts in my core and spreads out to all my limbs, etc.  It burns like crazy and is very scarey!  My husband took my blood pressure and it was 150/90.  My blood pressure is usually 110-120/70.  I had no temperature, in fact, it was below normal.  It was so bad last night we almost went to the emergency room again, but I held out to let the benedryl take effect, which it did.  I don't know what this is.  I'm not eating anything out of the ordinary - if its a food allergy.  It could be anxiety, but last night I wasn't upset or worried about anything...Do I need to see a neuroligist?  Allergy doctor? what.  I don't seem to have these sensations during the day so far, although today I feel some slight buring skin sensation...I don't ache anywhere or experience joint pain with the burning skin sensation.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  See others medical issues, I'm 58 and not on hormones any more.  Thankyou for whatever you can suggest.
