Burning/Tingling sensation

Burning/Tingling sensation

WOW it's been ages since I've posted on here, recently someone found my story and sent me a msg on AIM so it made me remember all the positive support I use to get and figured I'd log back in and give it another shot.
My short is long, If you're interested or feel something similar you may want to read the extended version on my profile.

AFTER ALL THIS TIME, I STILL have the burning/tingling/pins and needles sensation in my head.
Recap: They began after taken Topomax (topamax) which I've been off for 2+ yrs, and have never gone away. I feel them daily. I do not know for certain if they were directly caused from topomax (topamax) and I also do not understand how they would still be lasting this long, since I've been off the medication for quite some time.

Does anyone else feel this? Burning, tingling, stabbing feeling all over. Almost as if you had a sunburn all over your head and someone just stabs it repeatedly with needles.

It's horrible. I can not concentrate, I'm losing my memory, I can not focus on work.

I don't know what to do :( I didn't know then, and I still don't know now.

Support, similarities, suggestions, thoughts, ANYTHING would be appreciated.

Hello J,
It's just your head that you have this? Anything down the arms legs? Does it focus on just Right or left of Body or Head?
I have something like this but it is numbness in the whole Left side of my body from head to my toes. I have been talking to a young girl such as yourself. That has the same stuff I have but on right side of her body with the same kind of things. She is located in the UK I'm here in Florida.
The pain that she and I have are very disabling from the tingling and numbness. She had been looking at a  THYROID problem with her Dr. She is much more in pain than I am.
I haven't gone back to the doctor $$ reasons. But she said that one of the things that she told me about was taking B-12. I did and it did reduce the tingling in my hands and toes. If yours is just your head. I don't know if it will work for you? I   Hate to sound silly here but I do feel your Pain.
Oh by the way she also was at the stage of blacking out at times. Another thing, I was on Zoloft for a time and I just went cold turkey. So I have wondered if this may be something in relation to your drug that you had gotten off of??

Another thing that helps with the parasthesia/peripheral neuropathy (I have idiopathic peripheral neuropathy associated with Fibromyalgia) is Alpha Lipoic Acid.  I actually get relief within a few minutes of taking this supplement, which is an antioxidant.  My doctor knows I take it and is fine with it, too.  By the way, the word "idiopathic" means that the doctor has absolutely no idea what causes this.  But, it is common for people with Fibromyalgia to have this awful sensation.  Sometimes it gets quite painful.  The Alpha Lipoic Acid really does help.  Only use as directed and don't use more.  The maximum per day is 600 mg.  Mine comes in 300 mg and I can take it up to twice a day.  I find that it really has helped immensely.
