Burning pain under skin and numb on surface

I have no visable skin issue but I have pain under the surface of the skin on the outer side of the foreare just ahead of the elbow. It is generally fine except when I lean on the elbow when it sends a hot shooting pain through the area. The seems to be a real sensitive point behind the elbow that sends a line of pain through the forearm area. The surface of the skin where it is sore underneath also feels a little numb.
Cheers,
Brendan

Many thanks for that. Is there anything I can do to relieve the pain? Once an MRI is done what is the usual treatment for such an issue?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
The symptoms result from a nerve compression at the elbow. It is often called the Cubital tunnel syndrome. It results from the compression of  Ulnar nerve which passes through the cubital tunnel. The symptoms are-numbness and tingling; and pain. Please go for MRI of the arm and consult a neurologist for diagnosis and treatment. Hope this helps you. Take care and regards!
