CAVERNOUS ANGIOMA STATISTICS

Posted By BARB on November 01, 1998 at 01:51:24:

News articles regarding the coroners report following the recent death of Florence Joyner included a statistical reference to cavernous angioma which I would be interested to verify. According to one article I read, 25% of the population has such a lesion, although not all cases are detected, and not all lead to activity such as seizures.
Further, having been recently diagnosed with cavernous angioma, I am interested in learning if any statistics have been collected regarding "average" sizes of such lesions. If such, I would be pleased to learn such information.
Thanks very much for your assistance!
