COULD IT BE FIBROMYALGIA?

COULD IT BE FIBROMYALGIA?

I am a 24 yr old male, never had really any health complications until the past year or so, and would love some help or insight.  Here is my story....

Last spring, during May of 2010 I started having back pack.  It is on the right side. It was accompanied with cracking, crunching noises on the right thoracic side.

Later in the summer, I began experiencing what doctors term "parasthesia" in my legs only.  The best description I can provide is that if felt like my lower limbs were on fire and waves of transient burning.  This was accompanied by random muscle twitches.  I ignored these.

The symptoms progressed and I started noticing that tingling or "creepy crawly" feeling in my arms.  The symptoms then evolved and progressed again.  I started developing chronic foot pain/soreness in the bottom of my feet despite low levels of activity.

I noticed I was losing muscle mass or muscle tone in my forearm, I am a pretty solid kid and my forearms have never been this soft. Sometimes, similar to the feelnig ni my calves, there is burning and/ore soreness in my forearms. My wrists also feel "dead" or "limp" .  I look like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons when I walk.  In my hands I have had weakness, pain, and tremors in my fingers.  FOr example, when I do pullups or grab something tightly, it hurts to open my hand back up and it does so slowly.  When I am in the shower, I notice my fingers "twitching".  Also when I am texting I notice my phone is oscillating due to my hand.  This is true when I study with a piece of paper, I notice the paper has a low frequency vibration to it.

Now I have a different set of symptoms.  I went to the eye doctor to get a prescription, and they said my cornea was very irritated adn it was "chipped".  I have been waking up with eye boogers every morningand she said that is a mechanism your body employs to lubricate the eyes.  She also said my nose showed signs of rhinitus or extreme nose irriation, at times its hard to breathe through my nose.

Along with the eye irritation and discharge and nose irritation, I have had trouble breathing.  It feels liek my airway in my throat or upper chest is constricted and blocked.  Sometimes my breathing sounds like a whoot of a train whistle or a leaky propane tank.  My breathes are slow and labored and sometimes it is verry difficult to breathe.

The last set of symptoms are all jumbled.  I have disturbed sleep that includes insomnia and despite being exhausted, I only sleep 6-7 hours max.  I am constantly fatigue.  I have decreased sex drive.  ANd I noticed I have  "indifferent" towards everything. There are also times where I feel disconnected, almost as if I am in a "fog".  It's hard to describe.  I

I waited about 6 months to go to the Neuro and I felt like he disregarded me.  I have an MRI of my head, neck, and T-spine without contrast.  They showed no abnormalities.  I had extensive bloodwork checking for STDs, autoimmune disorders, lyme, thyroid, complete metabolic panel, heavy metals, liver function test, complete CBC, and it was normal.  I had an EMG during of my lower right limb adn my upper left limb and it was normal.

I am not a hypochondrioc nor am I exagerating my symptoms.  I was a 3 sport athlete, have played through sprained ankles, separated shoulders, pulled muscles, bruises... etc and I never go to the doctor.  The fact that I have gone means I am concerned.  2 years ago I was getting up at 6 AM and training for mini triathlons, now my hands are shaking!

Is there something my neuro is missing?  Why wasn't a spinal tap done?  I read online and my symptoms sound familiar to Guillane-Barre, especially that it started out in my legs and moved to my arms and now I have trouble breathing.  Could it be an endocrine problem?  Infectious disease? I read lyme is hard to detect and takes years. I appreciate any help!

I am not sure how, but the eye irritation, trouble breathing in my throat, nose irritation, the neuro symptoms.  They are all connected. I can't explain how, but I know they are!  Thank you for listening!
