CRPS & Rib Pain

by nanny_maroon, Feb 17, 2008 11:00AM
Hi,

I'm 27 yr old female who has had RSD/CRPS for 4.5 years. Just about everywhere on my body is affected, and I have been properly diagnosed having CRPS resulting in central sensitization. Lately I have been having pain around my ribs and it extends around to my spine. It is like horrible raw nerve pain and can last a few hours. I have no pain when breathing deeply and twisting doesn't affect it either.

My question is: Is this muscle spasms? Can CRPS cause lesions in the spinal cord causing what MSer's call the MS hug?

Even though pain killers don't work for my CRPS pain, I havent been on any muscle relaxers yet.

Thank you

Mel
